1. Baga Beach

3. Calangute Beach, North Goa
Calangute Beach situated 15 km from the Panaji, Goa’s Capital. It is one of the biggest beaches in North Goa, therefore popularly known as the ‘Queens of beaches’. The seashore’s festive and vibrant atmosphere attracts tourists from all over the world. The coastline also offers an array of water sports activities, beachside restaurants and accommodation. 4. Anjuna Beach, North Goa
Anjuna Beach yet another gem in Goa cherished for its outstanding beauty, soft white sand and oscillating palm trees. A hot spot for tourists and locals, it again majorly attracts foreign tourists for its nightlife parties. The full moon beach party allures the most crowd. Along with great outdoor ambience, major attractions include excellent western food, chill beer, seaside shacks and grooving music. 5. Arambol Beach, North Goa
This 16 km long seashore line in North Goa is known for its peace and solitude. It makes a perfect escape for people looking for tranquillity and peace. The beach encircled by cliffs on two sides, with a freshwater lake and market nearby making it a perfect mixture for an unforgettable visit. Traditionally the place, a fisherman’s village with a distinctly artistic feel further attracts domestic and international tourists. A short stroll takes you to the north where a small freshwater lake is located. The lake water fed by a hot spring is known for its healing properties. 6. Colva Beach, Central Goa
Colva Beach in Central Goa has a romantic feeling to it. The golden sand, azure seawater and cool sea breeze make it for a solitude escape. 7. Agonda Beach, South Goa
Another gem situated 37 km from Margao and 15 minutes from Palolem beach fit itself in the elite list of best beaches in Goa. Soft golden sand, swaying palm trees and dark blue sea water ideal to indulge in various activities such as swimming, strolling, reinvigorating and more. 8. Vagator Beach, North Goa
Vagator Beach located 21 kilometres from Panaji offers a scenic view of soft sand and gorgeous rocky cliffs. Divided into two parts, little Vagator also called Ozran Beach and Big Vagator. Enjoy a panoramic view of the sea from a cliff. The main beach offers a range of dining options, beach shacks and lively parties at night. 9. Morjim Beach, Goa
Morjim beach, not so famous when compared to others, still, it is popular amongst the romantic couples and those seeking tranquillity. Also, the beach makes it a great spot to see Olive Ridley turtles and an array of birds. Particularly famous amongst the Russian as a large number of them live close by the beach. Located on the northern bank of the Chapora River inlet, the beach is also a nesting ground for endangered Ridley turtles, as result music and night parties are banned. Nearby several cafes and restaurants to refresh and energise.

10. Butterfly Beach, Goa
Butterfly Beach situated 39 Km to the south of Margao is another secluded and rarely visited beaches in Goa. To reach the beach the only way is to take a ferry from Agonda or Palolem. The beach got its name as it sustains a variety of butterfly species. Encircled by thick forest, trees and bushes makes this place even more thrilling for hikers and trekkers. This place also famous amongst fisherman due to its shallow blue water offering crystal clear view of the underwater. In the early morning, there are high chances of spotting sea urchin, crabs, sea cucumbers and various species.

11. Mandrem Beach, North Goa
Mandrem in North Goa peppered by white sand is also one of the best beaches to spot Dolphins. Ashvem and Junas are the two main beaches make it a great place to enjoy the sea and swim with calm water. At the time of high tide, water reaches up to the Mandrem creek. A lot of bamboo bridges adorn the creek where you can sit and spend a romantic evening with your partner. There are various good eaters and cafes adorning the tranquil beaches.

12. Kakolem beach, South Goa
The Kakolem beach also known as ‘Tiger beach’ is arguably one of the most isolated beaches in Goa. The easiest way to reach the beach is by taking a boat or motorboat ride. One has to climb numerous steps and pass through narrow uneven paths to reach the beach. So, most visitors normally opt for a boat to visit the beach. As reaching the beach takes a great toll on the body, therefore, only those people who love tranquillity, adventure or nature lover go to the beach. But, on reaching the beach they are treated with beautiful scenery and less crowd.

13. Benaulim Beach, South Goa
Benaulim Beach yet another beautiful and serene seashore, located 2 km away from the famous tourist centre of Colva. The long stretch of the golden sand, cool sea breeze and beach chairs make it a perfect place to sit and relax. Compare to other beaches, this coastal strip not so famous but perfect to enjoy a romantic evening stroll. Savour delicious food and explore local market located close to the beach. Adventure water activity includes snorkelling, parasailing and windsurfing.

14. Sinquerim Beach
It is a quaint small beach, which got its name from the Sinquerim Fort overlooking the ocean. Though, small in size the beach also has a wide range of seaside resorts such as Taj Vivanta and Taj Holiday. The stunning sea strip located 13 km from Panaji. So, if you are looking to avoid the crowd then this place is a must-visit. Close to this beach are the famous Aguada and Portuguese Fort perfect for a photo click. Though, the beach gets crowded during peak season due to the presence of the ancient fort, still compare to other Goa beaches it is a quiet place.
15. Cola Beach
Cola Beach is one of those beaches in Goa, which offers a tranquil landscape. Locally known as ‘Khola beach’, it also has a hidden location away from the crowd offering a fine and unspoilt sea and surroundings. The beach also has a hidden blue lagoon stash formed by a river flowing into the ocean. White sand, blue ocean water encircled by swaying coconut trees is enough to contemplate in the beauty. It may not be a popular beach in Goa, but still, a beautiful place to go and explore.

16. Varca Beach, South Goa

Patnem Beach situated 39 km to the south of Margao is one of the most spectacular beaches in South Goa. An alternative to the crowded Palolem beach, the invigorating vibe and alluring landscape are quite popular amongst the tourists. Compared to other beaches of South Goa, its calmness and old school ambience make it popular amongst the visitors. Relax and let the cool sea breeze hit you, rejuvenating your body and mind. Also, there are famous yoga resorts located close to the sea focusing on health and offering bamboo huts for accommodation.
19. Mobor Beach, South Goa
Mobor beach located 17 km to the South of Margao offers a long and tidy stretch of white sand for a stroll. It is an extension of the neighbouring Cavelossim beach situated towards the southern side by the merger of the River Sal with the Arabian Sea. The beach has a mushrooming water sports scene offering windsurfing, parasailing and jet skiing. It is also one of the rarest beaches where you can enjoy biking. Apart, the beach also has good food options, along with handicraft shops, resorts and budget hotels. Dotting the beach are the luxury hotel chains, which owns a small part of the Cavelossim beach. The presence of these hotels gives the impression to visitors that it is a private beach. Therefore, many people think it is a private beach, resulting in less crowd at Cavelossim beach.
20. Betul Beach
Betul Beach located 24 km from Margao is again perfect for those looking for solitude and
tranquility. The beach also has a tiny lagoon, a river flowing in proximity, a 17th-century fort and Baradi Cross church perfect for a memorable visit. Due to its location tourists mostly avoid going to this beach, thus making it less crowded. Close to the beach there is rive which separates the beach and Betul village. Not many restaurants and shacks adorn the beach, resulting in a clean beach. But, to the contrary, this place also serves some of the amazing local Goa seafood dishes. A romantic stroll to the Betul lighthouse admiring the surrounding beauty and enjoying the sunset will surely make it a moment to cherish for the lifetime.
