Last Updated on December 16, 2020 by Akash Deb

Bleisure balances the idea of work plus life, enriching the body and soul. The trend of combining business and leisure has emerged over the past few years along with the real concept of cheap flight deals. Bleisure travel with gains culminates profitable balances in life and work. It has so happened that several businesses are looking to incorporate the aspect of enhancing leisure stay during a business trip. Such a combination of biz and leisure will definitely gain momentum down the years.

The business travel that we knew, stuck to purely business, now business travel is a lifestyle for several travellers. Now there is an inner desire to add a bit of thrill, adventure, and gaiety into their trip and explore the destination, going beyond the conference room and time restrictions.

However, can these bleisure travellers be recognised today? Six future travellers have been recognised as the most uprising bleisure travellers. Let us begin with…

Obligation Meeters

Obligation Meeters – Their travel choices are somewhat restricted in order to meet some bounded objective. They are focused to be in their respective place at a certain time. Once their objective is fulfilled, they get into their normal behaviour and look at ways to escape towards their thrill spots. While discussing business agendas, this group incorporates any added travel extras apart from their work-oriented trips. For example, after 2 days of continuous meets in Singapore, this group might long for a city tour or nightlife.

Cultural Purists

Next are the Cultural Purists, who are perfect bleisure travellers. Apart from their work, they are eager to explore a city as soon as they are done with business. If they need to decide a city, they will do it keeping in mind the thrill they can get.

Capital Seekers

Then there are Social Capital Seekers for whom a balanced life is very important. They believe in – all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. They undertake biz opportunities and equally appreciate the given chances to explore a location. Unbelievably, most bleisure travellers are the boss in their own companies and are designated to higher positions; fly in business class flights, having enough workload and targets to achieve.

Such travellers on bleisure trips extend their leisure for a short period, whereas 75 percent extend it from more than a day and some go on a 3-day trip.

The most familiar reason for business travellers go on a bleisure trip is to visit a destination where they love to spend time and explore the place, food, culture, and people. It is not really a vacation, but time away from stress and workloads.

It is sad for a few business travellers who have no desire to embark on a bleisure trip. They either lack resources to do it or do have time for all this. Overall, it is time, which is the most common reason for not enjoy bleisure travel.
